File format lab

Here are the example files we'll use in the file formats lab:

Text documents

• The pretest as a generic document: Pretest
• The pretest as a Word document: Pretest.doc
• The pretest as a DOS (ascii) text document: Pretest_dos.txt
• The pretest as a unicode text document: Pretest_uni.txt
• The pretest as a mac text document: Pretest_mac.txt
• The pretest as a unix text document: Pretest_unix.txt

Spreadsheet data

• Text data as plain text: test_data
• Text data as a tab-delimited file: test_data_tab.txt
• Text data as a comma separated values file: test_data_comma.csv

A useful, free text editor
