Hardware and software
This is Jim Harrison's academic/experimental Zope server. The server is located in the Division of Biomedical Informatics, Department of Public Health Sciences on the 3rd floor, West Complex (Suite 3000) of the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
The platform is a 1.8 GHz Macintosh G5 running MacOSX 10.4.8 with the Zope application server. The collaborative documents are implemented using a modification of the ZWiki Zope product (see Wikis, below), the Epoz through-the-web "rich text" editor and a modification of the CommonPlace template. The machine also runs Exist, an XML native database, on a separate port.
Zope Version: (Zope 2.8.5-final, python 2.3.5, darwin)
WikiWikiWebs are unique collaborative authoring tools that support creation of linked networks of information pages, with multiple authors contributing to all pages. ZWiki is a WikiWikiWeb implementation built on Zope. More information on Wikis and related software is available at HelpForBeginners and the original Wiki site, the Portland Pattern Repository. This site implements nested wikis (see ZWiki:SubWiki).
