The aim of the Lab XML editor is providing a simple interface for the lab personnel to change their lab procedures from a word document to an XML one without going through the details of XML syntax and markup. The preliminary description of the interface is a simple window through which one would open the word document (keeping its original formatting) and then by highlighting any part of the text and right click; a menu option displays the major elements to choose which one the text should go under. Once the element is chosen all children elements and choices of this element are displayed for the best place of this text. The XML syntax appears in a separate window but cannot be edited through the interface.
